Kim Lee’s Chi To Go was created by two very good friends quite by accident. Kim Garde and Stephanie Hough (middle name Lee) have been following the practice of feng shui for years. A mutual friend of the two asked Kim and Stephanie if they could put together some basic items for her in regards to feng shui. The friend was very interested, but did not know where or how to begin. Since the friend’s birthday was coming up, they decided to get a bit creative with this gift. Together, they went to purchase what they felt their friend would need to initially get started. They also included their favorite feng shui book in case she developed a greater interest. They packaged the items in little ‘Chinese take out containers’ and labeled each with the description on what it was, what it’s for and what to do with it. The friend was blown away by the gift that these two put together for her! Stephanie and Kim were pleased themselves. They felt good knowing that they were helping to open doors to a world that they truly believed in.

Fast-forward 2 months later. . .

While in Michigan for Stephanie’s 40th birthday, the recipient of the aforementioned gift, blurts out what turns out to be a life altering statement: “that birthday gift was one of the best gifts I have ever received. You two should sell those.” That was it. That’s all she had to say. Stephanie and Kim looked at each other and laughed. But, a seed was planted in each of their minds. Could we? Should we? Why don’t we?! After a few months of discussions, research, ordering items, trying to find the right packaging (actually, the toughest part!), and many Monday nights tying bells and coins, we are very pleased with our improvement on that original birthday gift. Plus, we now have a little mascot/logo in Kim Lee who was designed very quickly on a post-it by Kim’s daughter, Ashley!

We truly love what we have created for the feng shui beginner. We have put a lot of ourselves into our creation and have enjoyed every minute of it. We hope that you (or whomever it’s purchased for) find that we have opened up your mind to a whole new world of contentment, happiness and prosperity through feng shui.
